Hi, I'm Nitasha
Since I can remember, I've always had a camera in my hands. From a Polaroid to the Sony Cybershot, I had owned around 30 cameras before I turned 21. Luckily, my dad (an avid gadget lover himself) always had the latest camera so whipping out my puppy dog face would usually make it easy for me to steal them from him. But it wasn't until my parents gave me my very first DSLR, a Nikon D90, for my college graduation that I realized photography was more than just a hobby.
As I cultivated this passion of mine, I found strength, purpose, and excitement in telling stories with the camera. I fell in love with aesthetic and was enamored with the shutter of my lens. Taking photos quickly became a creative outlet for me. I poured a great deal of time and energy into producing more meaningful content, which is when I decided to create my own space to share it.
Photography has also allowed me to pause and be present in each and every moment. Over the years, it has increasingly become a means by which I've developed a heightened sense of awareness of and gratitude for the world around me. This mindfulness has enabled me to be more introspective and has deepened my ability to reflect on my experiences - both negative and positive - with a greater sense of perspective. As a result, photography became limiting for me as my sole form of creative expression so naturally, I turned to writing. With the stroke of my pen (or clicking of my keys), I have found great purpose in articulating my thoughts, viewpoints, and feelings by telling my own stories and sharing my growth/learnings with others.
By sharing the experiences I love the most through photography and writing, I seek to nothing more than to encourage and inspire readers to do what I strive to do each and every day: love, appreciate, and see beauty in all moments - both mundane and extraordinary alike.
